OPEN SOURCE PROJECTS:
 
1) Outsource Methods: (www.outsourcemethods.com )  A content Management system to create a outsourcing portal solution. The solution uses all open source software including the J2EE Application Server and mySQL Database Software
 
2) DevFlow: was a comprehensive integrated Web based solution that includes Project Management, Defect Tracking, Issues Management, Process Management Workflow, Human Resource Management, Asset Management, knowledge database and engineering analytics. This was built using JBoss and mySQL over Linux
 
3) A Resource Access System for a Japanese customer that enables secure remote e-mail access, remote workflow approval, external file sharing and remote system status confirmation. This server was maintained by the customer and the support access through i-mode, J-PHONE, au and WAP enabled phones besides HTML based web browsers. This system supported Japanese language environment only. The software used was Linux Apache and PostgreSQL
 
4) A Knowledge Management Portal solution for venture capital:

The business process of our customer involves a series of analytical steps like scrutinizing and finalizing a potential venture based on feasibility analysis, proposal management & evaluation, capital investment, portfolio management and monitoring the growth of a start-up until an exit strategy is formulated. Information that is gathered during these processes and the knowledge gained henceforth, is not readily available to various people involved in these processes. The client realized the need for a system that could integrate their Business Processes across every activity with the normal workflow of the organization. The system was also required to leverage these processes to capture and store the intellectual capital and knowledge, to bring in more business benefits.

Solution: We implemented its Enterprise Knowledge Server , a Portal and Knowledge Management implementation framework. The framework comprises of Channels that can be plugged into the framework as required by the solution. We designed various channels that can be mapped to the business processes and workflow of the customer. These channels were thoroughly integrated to facilitate communication among themselves for effective end results. The system supports knowledge capturing at every stage. The system being browser based is accessible from any of the client locations or from the Internet with the appropriate validations for access levels and security control. The system also supports an advanced search mechanism. Whenever a user searches for particular information, the system provides answers collated from all the channels.

5) Secure Payment Wallet for a Korean Client:

To improvise the payment experience of an end user on the Internet, they decided to implement an Online Payment wallet. This wallet was required to store all the payment details of the various credit cards possessed by the end user and other value-added facilities like account funding, SMS and Email based notification, Bank Deposits, Mobile Phone based payments and pre-authorization, Age Verification. The client’s customers being spread across geographical locations, the system had to support multiple languages (English, Korean, and Chinese).

Software used: JBoss 3.0.2, Apache1.3.2
 
6) Porting of Weblogic solution to Websphere and JBoss for a German customer:

The customer approached us with a proposal to port its financial product so that it worked on both WebSphere and JBoss application servers. We successfully undertook this complex process. The technical environment involved a number of Open Source software’s that included the following:

7: Book Portal for a Japanese Customer:

The customer needed to develop an e-commerce portal for buying and selling books. They outsourced the development of this book portal to us.

Solution: We developed “Book Portal”, an interactive e-commerce web site for buying and selling used books. The entire site works on point based system. The portal is administered by a site administrator who is in charge of allocation of points, deduction of commission etc.
